Investing in Russell. Investing in Promise.

When I first signed up for the business accelerator program, I didn’t make the cut. I wasn’t discouraged, though. Shortly after, Cassandra sent me the link for the PROP Study Sessions — and this time, my input made the cut. That experience motivated me to stay connected and always check my email, because being part of the RPOP family has meant the world to me. Through RPOP, I’ve had the opportunity to learn more about the Russell neighborhood, CLT’s, co-ops, and community investment.

It has given me a new perspective on what it means to be connected to the Russell community.I am forever grateful for RPOP and for the opportunity to be part of making history, creating generational wealth, and helping open doors for the people who will come after me.

My journey to RPOP began through community involvement and living in the neighboring Shawnee community. As a Shawnee resident, I participated in a program that provided funding to the Shawnee Neighborhood Association, which deepened my understanding of the importance of resident involvement.

Through RPOP, I’ve learned more about Russell, CLT’s, co-ops, and community investment. I’m grateful to be part of the RPOP family and to support the work whenever I’m asked.

Seeking working capital, I decided to enroll in the cohort. My journey to RPOP also grew out of my community involvement and living in the neighboring Shawnee community.
